Congratulations to Dmitri Akatov and the Oxford University Blues hockey team on winning 8:2 against Cambridge University on Saturday! It was great to see lots of RusSoc members in the audience.

The Vladimir Bukovsky talk on Sunday was the most successful event this term, with over 120 people turning up at the Mure Room in Merton. Mr. Bukovsky's lecture on the current political situation in Russia was as illuminating as it was controversial and entertaining, and the lengthy q&a session at the end showed that the Society could not be any more diverse in its political opinions. Many thanks to everyone who came to the event, photos coming soon!

The Russo-British Chamber of Commerce (RBCC) presentation today was a bit disappointing because of the small number of people who turned up, but those who did received some very interesting information about the Russian job market. If you missed the event but would like to have the RBCC's contact details or cards, please approach the Russoc president at the next event. |
